Rising majestically within Arusha National Park, Mount Meru is Tanzania’s second-highest peak and Africa’s fifth tallest. Often chosen as a preparatory climb for Kilimanjaro, Meru offers a more technically demanding ascent, rewarding trekkers with a uniquely challenging and fulfilling adventure. Over the course of a three-day trek, climbers have the rare chance to encounter diverse wildlife, including giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and baboons, enriching the experience with unforgettable sightings. For added safety and guidance, a professional park ranger accompanies you throughout the journey.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our friendly, kindly, experienced, and polite driver guides. After a short introduction, you will be escorted to Arusha for your overnight stay at your reserved hotel or lodge. Your guide will introduce you to this peaceful country and its tourism city. Gold Crest Hotel, our partner, is one of the best affordable luxury hotels with comfortable beds, an attractive garden, and attentive staff.
